Heading out for that unforgettable
fishing experience? Dawson Creek is
naturally your choice.
Located in the foothills of Northeastern
British Columbia, surrounded by many
lakes, rivers and streams, Dawson Creek
and the surrounding area is truly a four-
season paradise. Spring, summer or fall
alike provide visitors with great camping,
hiking, biking, canoeing, hunting and
fishing opportunities. Whether fishing
from a lakeshore or a riverbank, you will
have many choices in the area to find
"the big one".
BC residents under the age of 16 do not need a license
or be accompanied by a license holder; non-residents
under the age of 16 also do not need a license, but
must be accompanied by a license holder.
Residents are allowed their own quota of fish; non-
residents must count theirs as part of the license
holder's quota.
… You may purchase as many 8-day and 1-day licenses
as you need, but only one Annual License.
The regular fee for an annual angling license applies
if the BC senior citizen is not a Canadian citizen.
… Separate licenses are required for salt and fresh
water fishing.
… Salt water licenses are available at marinas, some
sporting goods and department stores.
… Fresh water licenses are valid only in BC and are
available from government agents, marinas, home
sporting goods and department stores.
… Specific licenses are required in National Parks and
are available from the Park Headquarters.
